Hello Everyone,

I forgot to mention when I posted our Halloween party pictures (previous post) what a fun time we had.  We paraded through the school to show off our costumes and ended up back in our classroom for a class party.  The children had so much fun.  A big thank you to our party planners: Mrs. Zang, Mrs. Ray, Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Bender.  It was a blast!!!!

Happy Halloween

It was a busy day in first grade!  It was another Wacky Wednesday!  We read our story, Boots for Beth, while holding our noses.  Boy, did we sound funny!  Then we practiced our spelling words by playing Musical Spelling.  It is sort of like Musical Chairs but with a twist.  We loved the music!  Our day ended with a Character Counts assembly.  Three of our classmates read how he or she is a respectful kid in front of the entire school.  We are very proud of them...it's not easy!  Enjoy
