Today in class, I read the story, "The Big Orange Pumpkin."  See if your child can retell the story using the orange paper that was sent home today in their take-home folder.

We practiced our spelling by doing "Smelly Spelling."  We used scented non-toxic markers to write our words.

What a fantastic day we had at the Nature Center.  The weather was absolutely perfect.  The students participated in a program called Wonder Walk. First, we took pictures of nature with our "cameras."  We used our imagination to make pretend cameras with our hands and we took micro and macro pictures of nature.  Then we put on tinted sunglasses and looked at nature.  After that we filled our "nature palette" with various colors of nature by doing some rubbings. Then we went to a nature tea party.  We had lots of fun.  Please enjoy our photos and a special thanks to our chaperones: Mr. Manguba, Mrs. Seavey, Mrs. Parrilli, and Mrs. Beerman.

Today we had a packed classroom with lots of additional special friends.  The students and their friends worked together to write an acrostic poem about clouds.  They all had fun and did a fantastic job.
