We made it to the 100th Day of School Yahoo!
Today the children did a lot of activities centered around the number 100.  We wrote about "When I am 100 Years Old..."  We will compile their writings into a class book that can be checked out.  We found out what we could do in 100 seconds.  How many times we could clap in 100 seconds? How many times could we say the alphabet in 100 seconds? How many times could we hop up and down in 100 seconds, write our name, stand and sit, count to 10 and blink our eyes.  We also played a Roll to 100 dice game and ended our day sharing our collections of 100.  We used a balance scale to figure out which collection weighed the most (100 shells) and the least (100 pieces of uncooked rice).  It was a fun day!  For homework the children are to write 100 words.  It's ok if they don't write 100 but a good effort is appreciated.
